Production years:

2015 - 2021, 2023 - present

Described as the best M car BMW has produced, ever, the M2 represents the raucous side of BMW, delivering serious power and on-track performance on all fronts in a relatively small package. However, these words will likely be reserved for model years 2015-2021 model years, as the new 2023 variant has quickly emerged as a divisive evolution of the M2 platform. Delivering a more controlled (or controllable) performance profile, in a package that is almost the size of an M4, the new M2 has grown up a bit, likely expanding its marketability, while disenfranchising more hardcore M2 fanatics. All this said, the 2023 still delivers the goods and should arguably start at or near the top of most track enthusiasts lists.
